The Dance program at Cariboo includes classes in all styles of Dance as well as Creative Movement, Improvisation and Group Choreography. It is also a collaboration between the teacher and the students according to who is in the class and what styles of Dance the students want to focus on the most. Many guest teachers are brought in to teach some of the techniques of dance styles like Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, and Hip Hop. Each student will get a chance to perform in class, at Fine Arts Night and at the May Dance Cabaret. Cariboo’s dance students are fortunate because we have returning Grads who like to come and teach as well as several other guest teachers who will come and share their expertise. Because the Dance class is made up of all the grades and many levels of experience and skill, we emphasize a sense of community and inclusion so that everyone feels safe to learn together.
