Hello Cariboo Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Cariboo!

My name is Ross Brown, and I have the privilege of serving as your PAC Chair this year. I’m a proud USW union activist with lots of experience in community-based organizations, and I’m excited to bring some fresh energy and practical ideas to our PAC.

Most importantly, I want to focus on what we, as parents and caregivers, can do to make our school the very best it can be, not just as a place of learning, but as a hub of civic pride and community spirit.

Some of that is straightforward, things like securing gaming grants, fundraising for dry grad, and keeping communication flowing with families. But there’s also room for us to be bold and creative, to help shape decision making, engage with the broader community, and even advocate at the city or district level when it matters for our kids.

I’ve already connected with Principal Sandor, who is eager for the PAC to be proactive, engaged, and full of ideas that will draw our community together.

I believe the only limit to what we can achieve is the determination we bring to the table, and that starts with connecting as people. That’s why I’d like to kick off this year by inviting you to the first PAC meeting in person. It’s a great chance to get to know one another, share ideas face-to-face, and start the year with some positive momentum.
