Please read and following instructions first for a smooth entry into the E-Assessment system. Please note that this is for CARIBOO HILL SCHOOL COMPUTERS (both laptops and desktops).
- Click the link to to go to the E-Assessment Launch page: https://bced.vretta.com/assets/assessment-lock/index.html
- It will bring you to a page below:
We use Windows computers here at school with the Assessment Lock software already installed. Click the “Windows-Your Device” option which is already highlighted. - Click the “Open Vretta Assessment Lock” button to launch the application.
- The Assessment Lock application will start to load. You may get a “Location has been turned off” warning message. Click the “Got it” button to continue.
- Assessment Lock will close any currently running software and applications such as a web browser, Teams, etc. and you will get a pop-up similar to what is shown below. Click “Yes” to close the software otherwise you will not be able to continue to write your exam.
- You are now brought to the actual exam login page.
- In the School District pulldown, select Burnaby (41) from the list.
- Do not select anything from the Independent or First Nations options underneath. Leave them alone.
- The session password will be given to you on the board in the classroom you’re in. Please carefully copy it into its field.
- Enter your PEN number. If you do not know it, the invigilator in the room will give it to you.
- When told to do so, click the Sign In button. Follow the instructions of the invigilator.
When you finish the test, please put your hand up to inform the invigilator. They will properly end the exam for you. Please do not leave your work area until they have ended the test.
