As promised in the message sent by Superintendent Karim Hachlaf to families on Friday, we’re pleased to advise that phone service has been restored at all schools.

Please consider only calling the school for emergency or other critical reasons, as a large volume of calls could impact phone line availability. Phone numbers can be found at the bottom of your school’s website.

We thank you for your cooperation in reserving the phone lines for these important uses.

We remain committed to keeping families updated throughout this process and thank you for your patience as we work to restore all services safely and securely.

Note that the Cariboo office staff are able to access email.

STUDENT ABSENCE:

To report your child’s absence, please email the school office: cariboo.info@burnabyschools.ca and include the following information:  

• student full name (we have many students with same names)
• student number
• student grade
• date
• specific time or block/period
• reason

Students can also bring a note from their parent and leave the note at the reception.

If your child will be away for consecutive days, please fill come to the office to pick up an Extended Absence form, have it signed by all of their teachers and the Vice Principal, and leave the form at office reception.
