The Cariboo Hill Music Students have been working hard preparing for our annual Winter Concert taking place at the Cariboo Hill Temple, 7195 Cariboo Rd., Burnaby, on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00pm. It will feature the Junior and Intermediate Concert Bands, the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, the Senior Concert Band, and the Jazz Band playing an exciting variety of music of the season! Admission is by donation at the door (cash or card) to help pay for the venue and music program expenses. A concession stand will also be available for your convenience.
Students of the different groups are asked to come earlier to do sound checks and warm-ups at the following times:
Choirs – 5:40PM
Jazz Band and Senior Bands – 6:00PM
Intermediate and Junior Bands – 6:30PM
They are to wear formal concert dress including: black dress shirt or blouse, black dress pants, skirt or dress, black shoes and black socks. Festive wear accents, such as a Santa hat or red scarf, is also acceptable (but not required). As per all official performance events, all ensemble members are expected to participate. The concert should last about two hours, after which students are asked to help put away chairs, stands and other equipment.
Out of respect for the performers, the audience is asked to remain for the duration of the concert, and to turn off cell phone ringers, please. We look forward to seeing and performing for you as we bring in the Festive Sounds of the Season!
